Overview
naked Retreats is a boutique eco-hotel nestled in the pristine bamboo forest of Moganshan in Zhejiang Province. Throughout the early 20th century, Shanghai's elite flocked here for its cool, crisp mountain air, natural springs, and rolling hills. Today, it remains the perfect antidote to city life.
The lodge emphasizes a return to nature and simple, sustainable living. Daily activities include hikes, fishing, cooking, mountain biking, and getting reacquainted with nature.
Amid breathtaking scenery, all rooms are traditional farm buildings that have been beautifully renovated into rustic chic bungalows with modern amenities. Each bungalow has a private, well-planted courtyard that makes outdoor parties and barbeques possible. Moreover, all are designed, built, and managed in an eco-friendly manner.

Nanjing: Private vehicle pick up, 2 hours.
Suzhou: Private vehicle pick-up, 2 hours.
Hangzhou City Centre or Hangzhou Main Train Station (65km or 41mi): Private vehicle pick-up, 1 hour, CNY 250 - 1,200.
Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport [HGH] : Private vehicle pick-up, 1 hour, CNY 350 - 1,500. | By taxi, CNY 400.
Shanghai (220km or 137mi): Regular speed trains leave daily from Shanghai South Station to Hangzhou Main Train Station, 80 minutes, CNY 64 - 74 plus delivery fee. Proceed from Hangzhou Main Train Station as described above. | Private vehicle pick-up from Shanghai, 2.5 hours, CNY 3,000 - 3,800.

Climate
Moganshan's most comfortable seasons are spring (March to June) and autumn (September to November). Frequent rain falls in the summer makes the weather hot and humid, but because of its higher altitude, Moganshan is significantly cooler than the cities of Shanghai and Hangzhou. Winter is damp and chilly, and regular snowfall creates beautiful scenery not found in the surrounding cities.
- Rainy season runs from June to August. During this period, travelers should bring rainwear.
- In winter, the city feels colder than its actual temperatures as most places are not equipped with heating systems.
- Winter temperatures range from -5°C to 5°C (23°F to 41°F).
- Autumn & Spring temperatures range from 10°C to 20°C (50°F to 68°F).
- Summer temperatures range from 20°C to 30°C (68°F to 86°F).
Health
During the summer, frequent water intake is necessary to prevent heatstroke.

- Minimum pax rate is the minimum charge per booking. For groups larger than the minimum pax, use individual pricing.

The Forest, Farmer, 395 and Bending Bamboo massages are all available in the privacy of your own bungalow.
Tea Picking, Roasting, & Packaging
Famous for its tea, this area boasts local tea of the long Jing Tea variety. Head out early in the morning to pick a basket of tea, which we will roast afterward in our traditional zao stove. After your tea is roasted, it can be packaged for you to enjoy later!
Tennis
Host of tennis tournaments in the early 1900's, Moganshan is equipped with tennis courts that are just a half-hour walk from naked Retreats. Racquet rentals are available on site. Reservations available upon request at the hotel at a charge of CNY 150 per court per hour.
Fishing
Though catching one is not guaranteed, you can enjoy the attempt while relaxing in the serene setting of this nearby reservoir. Available upon request at CNY 50 - 150, depending on service type.
Mountain Hiking
Moganshan is blessed with some of the best hiking in China. Mountains, valleys, rivers, tea plantations, deciduous and bamboo forests, historical monastery sites, old stone villas and quaint villages are all in abundance. Guided walks are can be provided upon request at additional charges, subject to availability.
Yoga Weekend
On selected dates, naked Retreats invites experienced Yoga instructors to teach yoga and wellness classes in the the serene backdrop of Moganshan. Package including meals, transportation, and accommodations priced at CNY 2,600 per person, subject to availability. Dates for 2011 TBA.
Potjie Triathalon
Join or spectate this annual race hosted by naked. Swim 1km, bike 40km, and run 10km. Individual entry fee is CNY 300. CNY Package including meals, transportation, and accommodations priced at CNY 1,690 per person, subject to availability. Dates for 2011 TBA.
